Who are We?
Laguna Labradors is the combined effort of Michael Kovach (your webmaster) and my husband Jacob Parsons.
I was raised in Northern California on a small ranch, showing livestock, horses, and helping my family raise and breed field trial labradors. One Christmas we received KoKo, and she was the first female chocolate lab I fell in love with.

I attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo earning a Pre-Veterinary B.S and an Agricultural Business B.S. – this helped solidify my foundation of animal husbandry, nutrition, and breeding. After college I bred quarter horses (I artificially inseminated my mare myself!) and after taking a break from the western world I got into showing Hunter/Jumpers here in Orange County.

We breed dogs because we have a passion for improving the breed. Our goal is a true dual-purpose bred Labrador Retriever.

After finding Jacob 🥰 and wanting our first dog together, we found Neena and she started it all. With zero dog showing experience I figured if I could show a horse, cow, sheep, or pig, I could show a dog. So we hit the ground running and it’s now become a very rewarding experience to be a part of the American Kennel Club.
We’re both fortunate enough to have amazing careers, so we truly do this for the love of the breed. It’s incredibly fulfilling to see the joy and happiness our puppies bring to your families. We want you to have the most conformationally correct dog, with the best temperament, and the highest level of intelligence. If you walk your dog down the street you should be stopped and told how incredibly gorgeous they are. When they naturally have balance and eye appeal it’s apparent to everyone.
Our hope is that like me, your first Labrador will leave a lasting impression on your life – and when your kids are adults – they too will want a Labrador for their family, continuing the love of the breed.
Giving Back
As a new board member of The Labrador Retriever Club of Southern California, I’m quickly making an impact by revitalizing the club’s online presence, managing all social media and marketing efforts, and actively fundraising, including securing significant donations for our specialty show’s raffle and silent auction.

As a newer breeder to the Labrador world, I quickly recognized a significant need for a centralized, accessible resource. It became clear that connecting with reputable studs, breeders, handlers, and clubs was often a fragmented and challenging process.
To foster a stronger sense of community and facilitate information sharing, I spearheaded the creation of The Labrador Directory. This free online search tool aims to be a comprehensive platform where enthusiasts, from novices to veterans, can easily find, learn, join, and help each other, ultimately enriching the entire Labrador community.
