His Story: High Drive meets a Foundational Reset
This striking young male was originally sold as a top pet pick of the litter. Unfortunately, his initial home was not a match for his size, power, and high-drive personality. He spent his foundational months mostly confined to a small kennel without the training, attention, or structural leadership a powerful young male requires.
By 6 months old, he grew too big and strong for his previous owner, developing intense barrier frustration, reactivity, heavy pulling, and deep possessive tendencies over toys and blankets.
Because we are unconditionally committed to every dog we breed, we stepped in and purchased him back. We immediately placed him into an immersive, elite 6-week behavioral modification program with My Clever Canine, working directly under professional trainers Tim and Amy Cutterson.
Through intensive rehabilitation, he has done a complete turnaround. However, he is not a casual family pet. He is an intense, high-drive working prospect who needs an assertive handler to maintain the progress he has made.
Training Foundation & Specialized Skillsets
He has just graduated from an intensive, professional curriculum covering critical behavior modifications, including:
- Advanced Leash Etiquette & Public Proofing: Transitioning from heavy pulling and reactivity to structured, neutral heel-work in high-distraction environments.
- Possession & Resource Management: Overcoming severe object guarding. He is NOT food or environmental guard-aggressive, but he is inherently possessive of toys and blankets. He has been trained extensively on structural release and “drop it” command foundations.
- Impulse Control & Neutrality: Learning to modulate his high energy and remain neutral around environmental triggers.
Ideal Home Profile: Who He Needs
He doesn’t have a built-in “off button.” He needs a structured lifestyle where his mind and body are kept engaged. He will thrive under the following conditions:
- A Confident, Strong Handler: Best suited for a strong handler who is home throughout the day, works from home, or can integrate him into a daily active routine.
- Continued Training: Clear boundaries and continued structure will help him learn and remain listening, he has a habit of reverting back to his puppy ways.
- No Other Pets: Must go to a home with no cats, other dogs, or small animals. High-prey environments or extra animals will over-activate his drives.
- He could be trained around other dogs – he’s not aggressive, he’s just very physical and throws his weight around.
- A Clear Workspace or Job: Because of his relentless drive, tracking ability, and high intensity, he would make an exceptional Search and Rescue (SAR) candidate, detection prospect, or dedicated sports dog.
- A Deep, One-on-One Bond: He missed out on early affection. He is looking for a singular person to connect with, learn from, and fiercely bond to. Once he respects your leadership, his focus is entirely on you.
