About Archie

Playful, intelligent and ready to bond

Archie is playful, intelligent, highly food-motivated, crate-trained and professionally trained in foundational obedience.

He is a strong, energetic adolescent who needs an owner comfortable maintaining clear routines and continuing his leash and impulse-control work. He becomes overly excited around other animals, so he is not appropriate for dog parks, daycare or a home with other pets. He also requires responsible management of toys and high-value objects.

His best match is an active, experienced Labrador or working-breed owner who wants one dog and enjoys training. His professional trainer will speak directly with serious applicants, demonstrate his handling routine and help provide a transition plan.

Archie’s training

A strong foundation

Training, strengths and continued support

Archie has completed an intensive six-week professional training program and has made meaningful progress in leash handling, impulse control, engagement and responding to direction.

Leash skills

Archie has practiced structured walking, handler engagement and maintaining focus in distracting environments. His new owner must be physically comfortable handling him and committed to reinforcing these skills.

Foundational obedience

He has worked on everyday commands, settling when directed, waiting for permission and responding to clear, consistent guidance.

Impulse control

Archie has practiced managing excitement and remaining focused around distractions. Predictable routines, regular exercise and short daily training sessions help him succeed.

Toy and object management

Archie can become overly possessive of toys and blankets. His training has focused on safe exchanges, releasing objects on cue and preventing conflict through responsible management.
